BALKAN LEAGUE MEETING IN SOFIA

Representatives of basketball federation of Serbia, Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and Macedonia had a long meeting in Sofia and decided about establishing new Balkan basketball league (BIBL). The definitive list of participants (10 teams - 2 from each country) will be known on the 1st of June, while draw for the league will be held on the 7th of June in Sofia. The teams will be divided in 2 groups per 5 teams (not teams from same country in same group). The first round will be played on the 8th of October, while Final 4 will take place on the 22 th of March. All star game will be played on the 17th of December. The rumours are that Mega Aqua Monta, Swisslions, Dynamo Bukurest, Lukoil, Levski Spartak, Rabotnicki, Feni Industri, Paok and Olimpia Larisa could be participants, but the definitive list will be anounced at the end of the month.
