SHARON DRUCKER IN MACCABI TEL AVIV

After only 1 month spent in Oostende, SHARON DRUCKER will leave the Club. He got atracting offer from Maccabi Tel Aviv and managed to get permission from Oostende to move. Drucker will be the first assistant of Pini Gershon, who took over the club as head coach last week. Drucker signed contract for 2 years and a half (till the end of the season 2010/11). Keeping in mind Maccabi s strategy from the past, when the first assistant coach always got the chance to become a head coach (D.Blatt), becomes completely clear what was the reason for the coach with such big number of trophies (Uleb Cup winner, Fiba Euro challenge cup winner, Belgian cup and championship winner) to accept offer to be an assistant coach. Drucker will start with work in Maccabi this week, while his place in Oostende will be given to assistant coach Umberto Baddioli.
