THE FIRST PLAYER FROM NEW ZEALAND IN YUBA LEAGUE!

OKK BELGRADE (newcomer A1) will sign pointguard from New Zealand. PAUL HENARE, PG (1979 182) who played for Tall Blacks (national team) on World Championship in US 2002 (4th place) as well as Olympic Games in Sydney 2000, will arrive in Belgrade, on Saturday. Henare is excellent ballhandler, and will help a lot to the team, which has only one pointguard Sasa Ocokoljic. Henare played last season for BC Mighty Hawks, and before he used to play for Auckland. The league in New Zealand starts on May, and it s great oportunity for the player to use free time, and in the same time to show his talent, and maybe find the better job in Europe. The coach of OKK Belgrade is Nenad Vucinic, the assistant coach of national team of New Zealand (WC 2002 US)and Henare s national team mate on Sydney Olympics.
