The most important basketball site in Europe, www.eurobasket.com announced yesterday that Darusafaka canceled the deal between Partizan and Semih Erden, signing the contract with the player for 6 years. The mentioned imformation is completely false, because the player signed the contract with Partizan, and Serbian federation already asked for LOC from Turkish basketball federation. The Turks refused to issue, what was expected because the club of origin of the player, Darusafaka, has right of signing the first contract, and if the player refused (what Erden did)according to FIBA Regulation (established in Indianopolis 2002) the club has right to get buy out fee. Now, Serbian Federation requested to FIBA to decide amount of buy out fee, what s usual procedure. The same procedure is in the process for the player Boris Bakic, who refused to sign with Buducnost, and wants to play in Israeli club, BC Givat Shmuel Maccabi. FIBA decided for amount of 50000 EURO buy out. Last week FIBA decided for buy out fee in the case of the player Rudez Damjan, who moved from Zrinjevac Croatia to Ostende Belgium. The decision of FIBA about amount of buy out fee is expected in September. Erden will arrive in Belgrade, on the first week of September.
