MILAN GUROVIC WILL REST TILL THE END OF THE SEASON

After the contract with Partizan expired MILAN GUROVIC received several attractive offers (primarily from Greece and Spain); however, in agreement with the physician he has decided not to accept them and to make a break until the end of the competition season for the sake of his future career. Actually, the symptoms that troubled Gurovic during the summer due to which he was forced to leave the preparations of the national team have occurred with lower intensity throughout his performance for Basketball Club Partizan. However, in spite of occasional dizziness and weakness, Gurovic endured all the efforts in Partizan. Unfortunately, the overall situation resulted in significantly weaker performance than the one he used to demonstrate, and the one that was expected from him. The contract having expired, Gurovic undertook thorough medical examinations that have revealed an increase of adenovirus in his body, and this was in fact the main cause of all his health discomforts. As advised by the physician Gurovic will have to strengthen his immunity system in order to force out the virus, and this is not possible with the efforts to which the top athletes are exposed. Therefore it has been decided that in the next two months Gurovic should not practice any sport activities, and, according to the predictions of the medical team that has examined him, it is almost certain that after these two months he will get completely prepared to be gradually introduced to training again. The player’s main goal is to be completely prepared by July so as to be in the position to accept a possible invitation to participate in the preparations of the national team, and after that, to normally continue his career in a new club.
